| From right, James Jacobs, Bia Pancake Kingsford, Leslie Kingsford, Karen Goodwitch, and an unidentified, scurvy, swashbuckling villain of the old Black Point Faire! | ||||
James Jacobs has produced fine Renaissance leather products for over 30 years. His first shop was located in New York City in 1962. Next, James located on Haight Street in San Francisco in 1965. He was an original Craftsman at the first Renaissance Faires, which were begun in 1967 in California, where he still maintains a presence. "James the Cordwainer" personally chooses his leather from the tanneries and is very exacting, rejecting lower quality hides for the exceptional ones. Since he has made his living exclusively from his craft for over three decades, James the Cordwainer relies upon established sources for his supplies. Not only all that, but James is an expert boot maker. Thigh high, decorated or plain! See the special custom boot page! James is a rock in the world of Renaissance Faire Tradesmen. |
